Located 9km East from Melbourne’s Central Business District in Deepdene, the Barnsbury Retirement Apartments have become an integral part of the Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish and local community.

The development involved the construction of 32 lifestyle apartments; a combination of two bedrooms, or, two bedrooms and a study.  All apartments feature an open plan design, the interior of each finished in herringbone parquetry, wool carpets, stone bench tops, gas fire places and European appliances.  The Ground Floor apartments include a courtyard, whilst the First-Floor apartments feature a generous balcony.

Four lifts service each of the 32 apartments and basement car park; the car park also includes provisions for bicycle parking and storage.

Substantial in-ground works of bored piers and screw piles, underground rainwater and detention tanks, precast concrete, suspended concrete slabs; post tensioning, structural steel, carpentry, masonry and stonework was involved. Extensive service works were completed, which included a complex installation of electrical and mechanical services, communications and data, and hydronic heating. We are delighted to have worked with OLGC to provide their Parish with a Lifestyle Living Community for over 55’s
