Thomas Carr College is a Roman Catholic co-educational school in Tarneit, approximately 25 kilometres west of Melbourne. This exciting development at the school involved works to three main buildings.

Performing Arts Centre

A new state-of-the-art Performing Arts Centre was built attached to the existing Gymnasium on the campus and houses a 500-seat Auditorium that is equipped with the latest technical production equipment for sound and lighting. The facility includes performance and practice spaces for both drama and music, drama rooms and backstage facilities, soundproofed music and band rooms, a recording studio, as well as staff office spaces and amenities. Architectural finishes throughout the building include acoustic wall panelling, timber-look wallpaper, and laminated wall and ceiling panels.

Gymnasium

An extension was added to the existing Gymnasium, expanding the facility from one court to two courts. The two full-size basketball courts were upgraded with new sound and lighting, motorised scoreboards, and retractable spectator seating, with a new physical education classroom, a weights room and upgrade of existing amenities completed as part of the extension.

Administration Building

The existing two-level Administration Building was fully stripped out and refurbished, including an extension. The refurbished building includes a reception area, waiting area, interview rooms, a boardroom and meeting rooms, as well as areas for staff including a mixture of enclosed and open plan office spaces, a lounge area, kitchen, and amenities.
