The Greythorn Community Hub was developed to bring essential health, education, and community services together in a single, modern facility for the people of Balwyn North. Replacing the former RSL and Greythorn Child Care Centre, the new two-storey building offers a welcoming and functional space designed for families, individuals, and community groups.
The hub includes the Greythorn Early Childhood Centre with childcare and kindergarten facilities for up to 91 children, along with health and family support services, community rooms, and the Greythorn Library Lounge. It also provides a neighbourhood space where locals can meet, learn, and participate in activities, as well as a home for the North Balwyn RSL Sub-Branch. Supported by a basement carpark, landscaped outdoor play areas, and surrounding decking and pavements, the hub is a 5-Star Green Star rated development, delivering both a sustainable and accessible community asset.
Through its thoughtful design and range of services, the Greythorn Community Hub has become a central gathering place that strengthens local connections and provides long-term support to the community.
