The Community Care Unit was constructed to provide facilities for Austin Health to administer mental health rehabilitation services to its patients.
The new facility at the Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital was developed as a free-standing, purpose-built facility for the provision of mental health rehabilitation services to foster the reintegration of patients back into society.
The building incorporates accommodation units across two-storeys for up to 22 patients, and a centralised two-storey administration building for Austin Health staff.
